I like to begin family photos with your average family holiday card pose. This ensures we get that image and then the rest of the session is all about the love.

I really want a family to show their true colors and personality. The sweet little giggles and silly expressions. Those are the moments that make your family so unique and special.

Memorable Maternity Photos Dallas TX- Prairie Creek Park Richardson TX

These girls are the sweetest.  This happens to be a very chilly day as mom has a due date we need to work around.  Therefore, we capture the moments as they arrive.  Both girls too this day by storm to create some precious maternity photos for their mom.

A dear friend of mind said that their are few surprises you will remember as you get older and one that will always stick is a gender surprise.  I just adore how this family will have such a fun time telling their new addition all the guessing games, stories and other what have yous that occur before they arrive.  Looking back on these maternity photos will be a fun tradition for their new little one.

So I have a fun story to share.  The youngest little miss I must have met in another life.  For the life of me I want to call her by another name.  Its wild considering I have known this sweet girls for years, yet my inner self wants to call her something entirely different.  Her mom and I joke about it all the time.  It makes for great laughs and great stories.

Although the day was chilly, these maternity photos dont show it one bit.  I cannot wait to meet this little one.  Keep an eye out for the soon to come Newborn Photography Session!

Every mother is different.  Therefore, the answer may be different for you depending on your unique experience.  For example, a Mother carrying twins may want to plan her maternity photos well before the recommended time frame.  Your doctor may encourage tons of rest and maybe even bed rest.  For these reasons, its best to take consideration of your individual well-being and really listen to your body.

The Best Time to Schedule Your Maternity Photography Session

Alright, now for the big reveal.  When my lovely mom’s ask me the big pregnancy photo planning question ,I recommend planning our photo session between 30 and 36 weeks gestation.  However, I do have mothers book well in advance of even that.  It truly depends on your pregnancy and how much of a baby bump you got going on.

Now this awesome Momma planned her session at just the right time.  Its important to focus on your needs and comfort.  My BIGGEST tip is to be comfortable.  No high heels or tight shoes!  I will do the rest and make you look stunning.

This Maternity Photography session in the beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Preserve results in some stunning photos.  This entire maternity session was taken on an extremely chilly, wet and windy day.  However,  you will see how we make nature work for us!

Seriously, this day was full of laughter.  This couple has an amazing back story and great sense of humor.  Not only did I just adore them and this session, we happen to have both resided in the Rocky Mountains, in the same town and even had condos in almost the same spot!  Isn’t that crazy!?

Outdoors is one of my favorite places for maternity photos.  This location happens to be in my top three.  The wind was our personal glamor fan and made for some whimsical maternity photography in the beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Preserve.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, Plano TX- Maternity Photography Dallas TX

There is a lot of love surrounding these two twins as we await their arrival. Big sister is super excited to meet her siblings and more than ready to help fulfill all her older sister duties.

Being that the weather was a bit crazy on this day, we scooped up big sister in a fluffy blanket for our travels.  With her nice and toasty, it was much easier tucking her into a quick photo with mom and dad.  Look at that smile!

I just adore this family.  They can take on any challenge with ease.  They make having twins look like a walk in the park and with big sister ready to help this trio, about to be a quintette, have so many adventures ahead.   This is one outdoor maternity photography session I cannot stop gushing over!

Complete serenity cloaks this Momma.  She is so kind and loving its no wonder her children are incredibly amazing.  Full and courage and confidence she makes these twin maternity photos appear effortless.

I cannot say enough about this stunning family.  Dad is just as stellar and full of support for his growing family.  Cool as a cucumber, he is ready for anything.

A the end of the day it was time to give big sis the spot light and capture her personality and wonder.  She is curious as ever and clever as a fox.  Her sprightly and quick-witted personality makes her the best big sister to be!

Run Wild My Child- Lifestyle Photography

I was reminded to let them be little. The time is now to capture this moment and create a lifestyle photography session for us. Let them get dirty and make a small mess.  Enjoy this moment, for it will never be again.  Now, I find myself taking a break to stop and enjoy them in this moment.  There sweet sounds of laughter that will one day become deep bellowing voices demanding tacos after school.  All the little hand prints on the sliding glass door.

Run wild my child and embrace this day.  I think we forget how easily it is to loose that innocent sense of adventure.  Personally, I think the day we truly grow up, is the day Home Depot sounds exciting.  As a kid I dreaded that store.  Now, I love to scour the isles for cabinet hardware and paint chips.  Alas, I have gown.

So here is a tribute to my two wildings. A lifestyle photography series all about you. My sweet, loud and ever growing boys who will always walk with a piece of my heart with them.  Dive into your inner hippie and run nakey in the woods.  Collect sticks and bugs.  Bring me gifts made of mud and rock.  For one day, you will grow and this day is yours.

GIGGLES AND WIGGLES

Oh these two were having some serious fun during their Mommy and Me Photography session.  At the best time of day and the warm sun spilling ever so sweetly through the trees, some magic was made.

Between the bursting out laughter and silly jokes, some sweet smiles were also part of this whimsical evening.

So many tender moments and connection.  These two continuously kept the fun time going all throughout the day.  Little man was set to soar as Mom gave him a toss to feel the wind in his hair.

The fun and excitement set the stage for some more striking smiles.  These two simply radiate love and joy!

As the day came to a close and the sun slowly slipped behind the horizon, it was time to wind down.  Little man was mesmerized as he gazed upon the water to sneak a peek at the swimming creatures below.

Mommy and Me Photography equals Memories

Kids are a walk in the park…. Jurassic park perhaps.  Despite those tough days, there are days of utter joy and this was no exception.  One more Mommy and Me Photography session to forever look back on and relive.
