I have been telling my mom-to be’s that there is something in the water. I must have had ten baby boys to every one newborn girl this year. It’s difficult to imagine that one day those sweet little cheeks and baby feet will be bigger than us one day. These boys only stay little for so long before they are up and swinging from the ceiling fans. This newborn boy photography session was a special one.

Auntie had some wonderful ideas and came prepared with a lovely color palette to work from. Therefore, it was a breeze putting together this little man’s whimsical session.

I adore when family members bring their own personal flare into a session. This family happened to have the most amazing set of antlers with a story behind them. We harmonized this stunning image just for Grandpa!

Time for Snuggles

Awake is he as it was time for a feeding mid session. Creating baby portraits is serious business and this little man needed his break. Perfect timing as mom and dad were ready for some snuggles.

Earth Tones and Cute Toes

This newborn boy photography session embodied beautiful neutral tones and earthy touches. Therefore, I had to give him the full woodland newborn treatment and incorporate a baby fox knit.

One of my favorite baby portraits to capture for parents is the hands shot. Baby can be wide awake, crying or sleeping and no matter what this shot looks cool. This newborn boy was a rock star for mom. Gazing up at her he was a bundle of calm. Awake and lively he patiently posed before his next feeding.

Blissful in Blue

Blue is the main color of choice for this newborn boy photography session. As you see its sprinkled in almost every image. Once the little one was fed and asleep we gracefully resumed our baby portrait adventure.

The weather was on the cold side so our images reflected the season. Little man made one stunning subject as we transitioned from one set to the next. Ever so peaceful was he.

One Last Thing

As always I have something special up my sleeve for the family that they don’t yet get to see. One custom images just for this newborn boy photography session. Of course they see it in the final gallery, but until then its a surprise!

I simply cherish this time I have with my families. They are ever growing and changing in such beautiful ways. This little guy is sure to bring a smile to everyone’ s face.
